The east wall of the Entry Hall cotnains the fragmentary remains of three themes. To the left of the entrance is the earliest Tibetan depiction of the Wheel of Life (bhavacakra), above the entrance two seated protectors are surrounded by beings driven by desire, and to the right of the entrance is a large cosmos depiction. These date to the foundation of the temple in c 996 CE.
